Perception of an innovation

Different countries, different cultures and how these influence the perception of a project and thus the search for investors.

Do we even need it? In 1995, Dr. Franz Winterberg presented lithium batteries specially developed for cars to the major players in the German car industry. The uniform reaction: oil is cheap and eternal, the electric car will never come. Today, 30 years later, we know what a colossal mistake this was. Building battery factories, developing new cars and, above all, testing them takes time. But what would the car market look like if there had been an electric Audi A8, BMW 7 and Mercedes S in 2005? If there had been an electric Audi A4, BMW 3, Mercedes C and VW Golf in 2008? At the same time, in 1995 in China, Wang Chuanfu borrowed US$ 300,000 to manufacture cell phone batteries in a factory of around 400 m². That was the beginning of BYD, now the 5th largest car manufacturer in the world. What could Dr. Franz Winterberg have become? The founder of a German CATL (the largest battery manufacturer in the world)? Here is an analysis by Grok on patent applications by Dr. Franz Winterberg.

  The Simson electric scooter
In 1994, the Simson company developed an electric scooter with a technical level similar to that of China 2004. Shouldn't all environmentalists and greens be promoting this? Far from it, hushed up. They didn't think about how many car journeys could be replaced by an electric scooter, but only how much less attractive it would make cycling.

Electric mobility has been a very important topic for me since 1991, Simson was so well hushed up that I only found out about it in 2009. How much faster could electric mobility on two-wheelers have developed if Dr. Winterberg and Simson had known about each other? Current estimates assume that the approximately 300 million electric scooters in China save one million barrels of oil per day.

  Vectrix was hushed up
Vectrix was the first manufacturer of electric maxi scooters. I discovered Vectrix at EVER Monaco 2006 and reported a lot about this innovation. The Vectrix demonstration tour also came to Salzburg on the very day that a barrel cost over US$ 90 for the first time in the looming oil price crisis. Headlines? No, deathly silence! The systematic silence surrounding this demonstration tour led to the end of Vectrix.
Selective awarness of mass media Selective awarness of mass media
The oil price crosses $90 per barrel and in Salzburg on the Mozart place is our future mobility without oil and CO2 emission shown. Headlines? Big media coverage?

  My publications since 2023
Articles in the media are very important for a small start-up. Here are all the articles I've written since 2023:

EIKE is considered by climate activists to be the most terrible climate change denial portal there is. But my plans for a cost-optimized energy transition are so convincing that I can publish them there. Background to this: At the end of July 2024, I was lying on the beach and got terribly upset about an EIKE post on Facebook. I called immediately and had a factual discussion with an editor for half an hour. At the end of the conversation: send us an article.

Founding of GEMINI next Generation in Hungary
Figuratively speaking: A river has to be swum across, in Austria with 15 kg of lead weights on the feet 100 m upstream, in Hungary 100 m downstream.

The 3 big Austria problems for a start-up company
If someone founds a start-up and it is supported by 50 people, Austria does not have a suitable legal form for this project.
Hungary
Germany will have 50 to 70 GWh of battery production in 2026. Hungary, on the other hand, with 1⁄9 of the population, will have 80 to 100 GWh. Trends were recognized in good time and consistently implemented.
